Legacy Technical Lead - Contract - SC Cleared

Rate:
Up to £650 per day


IR35:
Inside


Location:
Hybrid - up to 1 day per week in either London, Manchester or Bristol - whichever is closest


The role:


As a Legacy Technical Lead, you will be playing an influential role in guiding and informing how the UK government understands, priorities, and manages its technical debt.

This is an initial 6-month contract, Inside IR35 and requires active SC Clearance.


This role requires:


  • Central Government experience
- experience with digital transformation - such as transforming internal system or user facing services
- experience working, and problem-solving issues around technical debt or legacy systems
- experience working with Enterprise and Application Management tooling - such as tools like Ardoq or LeanIX, or the CMDB systems such as in ServiceNow
- an understanding of modern cloud-based architecture
- strong intellectual curiosity, and an interest in proactive research
- the ability to clearly explain complex technology issues and an understanding of how they are relevant specifically to government
- excellent leadership, engagement and communication skills, with demonstrable experience in setting stretching objectives
- experience of being able to work at pace and adapt to changes in a dynamic situation
