This role is pro rata, so the salary you will be receiving is £11,441- £12,539 per annum.

Background to the Post


The primary focus of the role will be to manage, develop and maintain the online quality systems for apprenticeships to ensure compliance with the WCG Quality Framework.

The post-holder will need to monitor progress and tracking within all WCG apprenticeship provision.

Central to this role will be ensuring quality procedures of WCG are met and the online systems are fully utilised.

The role also would require the post-holder to support the preparations for WCG for future Ofsted inspections.

The post-holder will need to demonstrate a knowledge and/or understanding of the following:

  • OneFile.
  • WCG Quality Framework.
  • Ofsted Common Inspection Framework.
  • ESFA Apprenticeship Funding Rules.
The post holder will report to the Director of Work Based learning.


Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Competencies

  • To maintain the OneFile learning platform for all WCG apprenticeships and ensure the accurate and timely set up then ongoing updates to enable staff to utilise the system effectively.
  • To undertake audits of OneFile usage, prepare reports for managers and design training on how to use the system. Deliver regular training to current and new members of staff in the apprenticeship team.
  • To prepare data on OneFile for WCG for forthcoming inspections of our further education and skills provision whether this is from Ofsted, awarding bodies or other external organisations or regulatory bodies.
  • To be able to create and maintain guidance documentation for a range of users and processes within the WBL Directorate to mirror the Apprenticeship Journey
  • To contribute directly to the annual selfassessment process by preparing accurate data and information.
  • To support the implementation of the quality framework for further education and skills so that the quality at WCG continues to improve.
  • To provide general administrative support and guidance for the wider WBL Directorate.

Essential Attainments

  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or Level 2 equivalent qualification.
  • Educated to Level Three.
  • Expert administrative skills including the presentation of data.

Desirable Attainments

  • Management qualification.
