Description

The Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator - NICE is responsible for the collation, dissemination and co-ordination of clinical effectiveness information received into the Trust from external and internal sources and is required to provide assurances to the Medical Director / Deputy and Quality Committee that guidance has been actioned appropriately across the Trust.


Working with the Clinical Effectiveness Unit Manager / Deputy and Deputy Medical Director, the post holder takes a key role in the development and modification of internal mechanisms and models designed for the implementation of relevant guidance within the Trust and from external sources including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).


The Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator - NICE also takes a major role in co-ordinating and progressing the city-wide NICE agenda through agreed processes and meetings, working with colleagues from all Trusts within Sheffield.

The Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator - NICE acts as a resource to provide information for clinicians within the Trust. This information assists with the development of evidence-based guidelines, protocols, integrated care pathways and evidence-based patient information.
