An experienced Desktop Support Engineer is required for an established, dual site Creative Agency in London.Purpose of role
To provide IT support both on-site and remotely to our offices in conjunction with IT and business operating
procedures and processes.
Person Profile
This role will actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with IT, people within the business,
process, and technology.
Responsible for maintaining great communication and behavioural standards, fostering a culture of strong
customer service excellence both within the company and external suppliers.
Keen to continuously improve to achieve the best possible outcome for the business and the users.
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT first line support to all UK users for the organisation
- Provide additional support to IT first line support in US where needed (ticket overspill, holidays etc)
- Work as part of a team and/or on an individual basis to meet overall support targets.
- Perform support across a variety of PC, Mac, mobile and other platforms including:
- Resolve user incidents for the UK via on site presence and remote IT support
- Install, configure, and maintain all devices and equipment in accordance with IT
- Document procedures, processes, and standards in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide adhoc IT user training as part of the deskside and telephone support process.
- Review and update tickets within the service management tool and action in order of priority,
- Escalating issues whenever required to resolve issues as quickly as possible
- General academic achievement GCSE/BTEC/A Level and/or equivalent in an IT discipline
- Microsoft or Apple qualifications (desirable)
- Excellent 'handson' experience of working with various desktop/laptops and networking technologies
- Strong 'handson' experience of working with mobile technologies (smart phones, tablets, etc.)
- Excellent desktop/laptop technologies and common faultfinding techniques
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft and/or Apple desktop products and operating systems
- Strong knowledge of the current Microsoft Office suite.
- Good knowledge of the current Google suite.
- Microsoft Office suite of tools
