Cleaning Operative
We are looking for an experienced, hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy Cleaning Operative to join our existing busy Cleaning Team.

Set amongst the woodland of Dorset lays 65 acres of sanctuary for over 250 primates.

Monkey World was set up in 1987 by Jim Cronin to provide abused Spanish beach chimps with a permanent, stable home.

Today Monkey World works in conjunction with foreign governments from all over the world to stop the illegal smuggling of apes out of Africa and Asia.

At the park visitors can see over 250 primates of more than 22 different species.

Skills and Experience

  • Have previous experience within a commercial cleaning based role
  • Experience of ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene & safety
  • A willingness to work flexible hours when cover is needed
  • Recording all cleaning duties and tasks on relevant checklists to maintain the company standard
  • Adhere to COSHH regulations, ensuring the correct use and storage of cleaning substances and materials
  • Some heavy lifting may be involved
  • Hard working with strong interpersonal skills and great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task & work unsupervised
  • Effective communication skills and approachable to Visitors and other Staff Members


This is a full time position working an average of 36 hours a week on a 3 week rolling rota basis.

Days off over a 3 week period would be:

  • Week
  • Monday & Friday, Week
  • Wednesday & Thursday, Week
  • Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday. At the end of week 3 you would then start back at week 1.

Salary:
£10.42 per hour


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dorset, BH20 6HH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
