    We're seeking a dedicated pharmacist with excellent communication abilities and a solid foundation in clinical pharmacy to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary general practice teams as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist.

    To provide clinical pharmacy advice on the management of patients with mental illness in order to maximise benefit and minimise risk in relation to medicines.

    To provide education and training to primary healthcare staff, service users and carers.

    Current and continued registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a practicing member
    Equivalent knowledge and experience to a level above Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent acceptable for registration by the General Pharmaceutical Council

    Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in relevant area of pharmacy practice, or equivalent experience of at least two years post registration.

    Willing to work towards a postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in psychiatric pharmacy practice.
    Willingness to work towards qualification as an independent Non-Medical Prescriber

    Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and willing to work towards Foundation or Faculty membership
    Qualification as an independent Non-Medical Prescriber
    Relevant post-registration clinical pharmacy experience including Mental Health
    Relevant post-registration clinical pharmacy experience including Mental Health (1) and Primary Care (2) involvement.

    Advanced theoretical and technical, clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge relating to the promotion of high quality, effective and cost efficient use of medicines, including a wide range of work procedures and practices
    Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
    Proficient IT skills, e.g. ability to use Microsoft Office applications, internet etc.
    Tutoring and training skills
    Evidence of writing procedures, guidelines and protocols
