Description
Responsibilities

  • Daily validation of positions across exchanges; predominant commodities are oil, gas and power.
  • Ensuring timely trade capture of exchange transactions in the ETRM systems through automated data feed and real time resolution of trade flow exceptions.
  • Managing futures and options expiry related activities and any associated physical deliveries.
  • Collateral management including settlement of daily margin calls, margin analysis, optimization and stress testing.
  • Processing, reconciliation and settlement of transaction costs, including brokerage. Identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities.
  • Exchange access management, including trading permissions and limits, on thirdparty and exchange market access platforms; onboarding new trading platforms
  • Onboarding of new business, liaising with traders, exchanges, clearing brokers and internal departments (Compliance, P&L, IT, Reference Data,)
  • Evaluating and implementing business processes improvement opportunities.
  • Ad-Hoc projects including rollout of new technologies, system improvements, process change implementation and efficiency/cost saving initiatives.

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field of study.
Experience

  • Experience in commodity trading, preferably covering exchange traded derivatives with exposure to Oil, Power and Natural Gas products.
  • Demonstrated experience in reconciling large data sets.
  • Understanding of the mechanics/lifecycle of exchange traded products.
  • Demonstrated management and timely delivery of projects.

  • Ability and desire to work in a teamcentered environment
- **Strong technical skills in Excel, VBA, Python & SQL preferred
