  • A Centre Assistant is needed at weekends and one day per week in our Hanningfield Nature Discovery Centre.

A Centre Assistant is needed at our Hanningfield Reservoir Nature Discovery Park between Chelmsford and Billericay.

Our friendly team at Hanningfield provide fantastic customer service to our visitors to the Trust.

Hanningfield Reservoir Nature Discovery Park is set in mature woodland and has proved a popular bat roost, with a beautiful carpet of Bluebells in the spring and panoramic views over the 870-acre reservoir.


The post holder will need to be a team player who can engage in a friendly and professional way with our visitors working across the Centre in Retail and Food & Beverage - ensuring excellent customer service is always at the forefront.

We are looking for a friendly individual with an interest in nature and wildlife to join Essex Wildlife Trust in this visitor engagement role.

Our profits from the Nature Discovery Centre's are used to fund the conservation, educational and other work key of the Trust.


This is a permanent part time role working 22.5 hours per week over three days (9:00am and 5:00pm Saturdays, Sundays and one day during the week).

The starting salary is £12,027.60 per annum (FTE £20,
