Description

We are looking for an energetic individual to fulfil the
Children Services Care Coordinator role at our established Domiciliary Care branch in
Coventry, to oversee care delivery across Warwickshire.

This position requires you to coordinate the day to day shift pattern and allocate work to Care Support Workers. You will also have the responsibility of the on-call phone, on a rota basis.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • To allocate work to Care Support Workers, cover any unallocated work and distribute rotas.
  • Manage requests for time off and liaise with your line manager.
  • To work in cooperation with all local authorities to ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of Children is responded to correctly.
  • Undertake the duties of the oncall phone when required, ensuring a detailed handover report is submitted.
  • Document and report any issues or violations to upper management.
  • When working on the district you must comply with the Care Assistants' duties and responsibilities.
  • To attend all team meetings and support new staff members.
  • To carry out duties assigned by your line manager.
  • Performs all tasks in compliance with the company policies/rules and procedures.
  • To prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • To keep up to date with all mandatory training.
  • To communicate with confidence to the service user/coworkers and record information clearly.
  • To be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • To provide emergency cover due to absence.
  • Developing care plans and keeping electronic care records up to date.
  • Visiting Children at home, checking on the care they've received and documenting it accordingly.
  • Working with the care team to evaluate interventions and identify where and when further ones will be required.
  • Reading, attending workshops and liaising with professional bodies to stay abreast of developments in the field.
