Description

A Multinational Energy Company based in Glasgow office is seeking a Energy Analyst to join their team on a contract basis for 6-12 months.

(Extension highly likely)

We are looking for an Energy Analyst to build a dashboard/KPI's that shows how the commercial positions of the GB and IRL supply businesses vary with wholesale commodity price movements.

The output needs to provide a directional P+L view weekly.

In order to achieve the output the team member needs to understand trading / hedging / demand / pricing/ Non Commodity Costs parameters for GB and IRL markets to ensure the view provides accurate interrelationships

Must have demonstrable experience quantifying/measuring wholesale market exposures
Highly Analytical with experience using Excel and Power BI (or other reporting tools) to a high level.
Experience of python and managing large data sets would be beneficial
Must have understanding of energy markets i.e. Data, pricing and market movements
Have a financial background with energy sector experience
