Pettigrew Recruitment Group is delighted to showcase this Architectural Technician role with one of the industry's leading independent private house builders based in Livingston.

This is a crucial technical post to assist the department with growth and anincreasing variety of new developments coming through the pipeline.

Working within the Technical department, you will work closely with the rest of the commercial team, and along with external Architectural and Engineering consultants to bring early design and approvals though the relevant Planning and Building Warrant stages.

Key Responsibilities as Architectural Technician:

Manage members of the project team including chairing design team meetings with external consultants and deliver the projects inline with the project program.
Work to drive out abortive design costs with earlier appointment of consultants and sub contractors, value engineer as required.
Ensure that the approvals, Planning, Building Warrant, RCC etc meet the current project plan.
Liaise with and produce documentation for the statutory approval authorities.
Respond to site queries and resolve technical and / or construction issues through the Technical Dept.
Ensure that all raised matters are dealt with and thoroughly closed off.
Attending and chairing Prestart Meetings and briefing all departments on matters relating to the engineering and working drawings.
Attend site meeting as required and contribute to the monthly site Project Review meetings, include both residential and housing association projects.
Coordinate consultants to deliver the house type working drawings and liaise with our key suppliers to provide ancillary information for tender and construction purposes, include the checking of such drawings / schedules.
Manage the preparation of drawings and details as required as part of the Building Warrant or Construction stage.

To join this leading brand as Architectural Technician, ideally you will have some experience within the housebuilding industry in an associated design role and be familiar with AutoCAD.
