About the role


The TRICARE Trainer will interact and manage all aspects of the training workstream, including scope, milestones, deliverables, risks, mitigation activities and stakeholders to do with an internal project that is taking place.

They will also interact withco-dependent work streams involving technical delivery and complex operations and technical solutions.

They will also assess, develop and support the educational needs of internal and external stakeholders through creating and delivering effective trainingprograms, thereby improving the quality of service delivered to the TRICARE Overseas Program.


Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate information flows for the training works steam with the project manager, and stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with the project manager to manage project tasks, interdependencies, and deliverables to meet overall deadlines and milestones of the project.
  • Work to propose recommendations for improvements and/or process changes.
  • Design and develop training materials, job aids, handouts, and manuals to meet specific and appropriate training needs, keeping these updated, and ensuring all materials reflect our brand.
  • Deliver effective training (classroom, virtual, and elearning) to necessary internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and deliver refresher training and education programs for learning gaps.
  • Create an environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Keep accurate learning and development records.
  • Encourage completion of evaluation surveys by all recipients of training activities.
  • Support other training functions such as induct new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions in classroom, virtual, and elearning modalities.

About you

Required Competencies and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years' experience in Learning & Development
  • Project Management of Training Workstreams
