    We're hiring for a Business SOx Senior Analyst for our Global Audit team

    Reporting to the Manager – Business SOx Compliance, you'll support the planning and delivery of Business SOx control testing, working collaboratively with Business SOx Auditors and co-source providers to support the delivery of individual audits.

    You'll identify control deficiencies to ensure compliance with regulations, internal controls, policies, and procedures and make recommendations which result in improvement to National Grid's internal control structure.

    This role is based in Warwick, and we'd hope to see you at least two days per week but you're welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We're happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you


    What You'll Do:
    • Support the planning and delivery of Business SOx testing through the completion of controls testing. Testing will be performed to National Grid's internal testing methodology and be documented within Archer GRC.
    • Engage with auditees and control owners regularly to track progress against audit actions and controls in remediation.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders – relevant to the delivery of Business controls testing.
    • Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
    • Complete work papers by documenting controls testing and findings clearly articulating test methodology and steps taken.
    • Prepare regular Business Controls testing status reports for internal Business Audit management.
    • Support the delivery of ad hoc Corporate Audit project work, working as part of a larger team to complete discrete activities and tasks.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
    • Support Business SOx Auditors and co-source providers in the planning and delivery of Business Audit activities. Working collaboratively in the development of audit test procedures, completion of the audit planning process and their execution, retaining overall responsibility for audit delivery.

    What You'll Have:
    • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with solid Business SOx controls testing or Business Audit experience.
    • Good knowledge and understanding of internal audit practices, internal controls, and risk management.
    • Strong Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements knowledge / experience.
    • A good understanding of Business controls testing practices and risk management activities; and skill in applying controls testing principles and practices.
    • Knowledge of and experience of business processes, ideally within the utility sector.
    • A focus on continued improvement and achieving high standards.
    • Strong Stakeholder management, you can build key relationships across the business and have strong influencing skills.
    • Self-motivation but also work collaboratively as part of a Global SOx team (US and UK).
    • Flexibility in balancing multiple priorities and possess, you can work under pressure during peak periods.
    • Proactive and insightful in looking to deliver continuous improvement.
    • Competent decision making, problem solving and analytical skills to analyse large data sets as part of Business controls testing.
    • Belief in own judgement and professional capability when communicating issues that have been identified.

    What You'll Get:

    £45,000-£52,000 depending on experience
