You won't necessarily have a permanent work base as you'll probably be able to travel from home to your site. You'll be advised about your work location where needed._

The Role:


We're looking for a Painter to support the delivery of a flexible multi-skilled (TradePlus) service to Thirteen and our customers.

You will ensure that all works are undertaken to agreed quality standards, within appropriate timescales/ priorities and in line with customer needs and expectations, as well as the needs of the business.


The Person:


We're looking for a Painter for our Voids Team working across all areas, you could work to support other areas within the Thirteen remit.

You will have experience in a painting and decorating role and will look to make a significant impact on the team and the business.


  • You will be able to demonstrate a history of quality work within the painting and decorating industry and will be:
  • A confident communicator with the ability to follow and understand instructions
  • Able to work to set time frames
  • An enthusiastic team player, working well under pressure with good attention to detail
  • Able to demonstrate a "can do" attitude and be selfmotivated
  • Flexible and reliable in your approach to work
A full clean driving licence is essential due to lone working requirements where a company vehicle will be provided.

You must have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, verbally, electronically and face to face.

It's also essential that you are experienced in the safe use of plant, equipment, PPE and can demonstrate the relevant appreciation of health and safety and waste management legislation.


We are seeking motivated individuals who can bring their extensive knowledge and experience to the team, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that the team is seen as an innovative and forward-thinking business stream, achieving high performance.

- Time served or significant relevant experience in relevant trade / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant trade qualification

  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, verbally, electronically and face to face
  • Good understanding of Thirteen's business activities with particular regard to the IT, health and safety, environmental and equality and diversity requirements
  • Effective use of IT and media as appropriate (incl. PDAs)
  • Flexibility to undertake duties at various locations and/or teams throughout the Company's areas of work.
