Description

The tendering/ quotation specialist will be responsible for the development of accurate, timely and detailed cost estimates on various electrical sub distribution projects.

The tendering specialist will interact with various personal (customers/field sales engineers) and departments (Design and Production).

Description

  • Initial analysis of an enquiry to establish approximate value, document quality and agree with team manager that the project aligns with company product profile.
  • Understand each allocated project, enabling the identification of the project return dates, LAD's, main contractor / B&F programme.
  • Interpreting predesign, design and building constraints to produce competitive tenders.
  • Accurately interpreting the drawings and specifications to produce a costed tender return document utilising the estimating department tools and price lists.
  • Able to interpret drawings to clarify what is required and to assist in establishing the most costeffective options.

Profile
Electrical Estimating: 2 years

  • IT competent
  • Electrical engineering to NVQ 3 or City & Guilds level 1 &
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse drawings, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, product, cost and labour estimates
  • To be successful applicants should be proactive, hold good organisation and communication skills with experience in the electrical industry.
  • Possessing a thorough understanding of the sales quotation process and possessing commercial acumen and contractual experience.
  • Good understanding of tender process and systems
