    About the role

    Location: Bideford

  • Salary £11.54 per hour / £24,003.20 per annum
  • Monthly and quarterly site performance bonuses.
  • You will be working 5 days per week, including weekends
  • Working 40 hours in the summer and 35.5 hours in the winter.
  • Summer Hours (April to September) - Weekdays - 08:45 - 17:15 & Weekends - 09:45 - 18:15
  • Winter Hours (October to March) - Weekdays 08:45 - 16:45 & Weekends - 09:45 - 16:45
  • What will I be doing?

    You will advise and assist the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials deposited in the sites.

    This will involve:

  • Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
  • Providing excellent levels of customer service
  • Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
  • Maintain a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.
  • What are the requirements?

    We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.

    The role requires:

  • A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
  • Position incudes covering local sites, Holsworthy and Barnstaple as well as the Bideford site so driving licence and access to own vehicle essential.
  • A person extremely conscious of health and safety with the desire to develop and embrace change, whilst driven towards continuous improvement.
  • No previous experience in the waste industry required, however a good level of customer service is a must.
