BREAKFAST CLUB PLAYWORKER - Required from Monday 4 September 2023, Initially, fixed term to July 2024
Rate of pay:
Starting from £10.50 per hour (Pro-rata) Dependant on experience and qualifications.
Hours required: 7:45am - 9:00am - Part-time, Term

Monday - Friday, Term time only (38 weeks)
Reports to:
Club Lead, Club Manager and Headteacher
Responsible for:
Care of children during After School Club
Desirable but not essential:
Recognised Level 2 qualification in Playworker or Childcare & Education.
The Trustees and Governing Body are seeking to appoint an After-School Club Playworker to join our dedicated, supportive and friendly staff, committed to achieving the highest standards, to start Monday 04 September, 2023.
References will be sought prior to interview.

As Playworker:
- Main duties include:
- To assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- To provide comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school/nursery classrooms and delivering them safely to parents or carers.
- To provide refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
- To administer first aid when necessary.
- To consult with children and involve them in planning activities.
- To helping with club administration, including record keeping, ordering and purchasing materials and equipment, where necessary.
- To encourage child and parental involvement in the club and support.
- To facilitate good communication with all members of the club, parents, school and childcare and play related agencies.
- To attend meetings as appropriate
- To undertake appropriate and relevant training.
- To keep the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
- To carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework.
- To work within agreed club policies and procedures including safeguarding, behaviour management, Health and Safety
- To deal with all confidential matters with tact and discretion
- Attend to the toileting and personal hygiene of pupils
- Such other duties, as may reasonably be required, within the grading of this post.
Additional Duties include:
- Assist the Club lead and children in a club setting; groups and/or individuals
- Support all pupils and staff within the school
The post holder may be required from time to time to undertake other duties within the school as may be reasonably be expected, without changing the general character of the duties or level of responsibility entailed.
