Line Quality Control Operative for family-owned Food Manufacturer based in North London.

Responsible for monitoring the quality of product on the automated production lines, ensuring it meets the specified high quality customer expectations.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:

• Completing specified Quality Control checks throughout the production process
• Being actively involved in the resolution of production orientated quality issues
• Working as part of the team to solve problems, helping to identify the root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions
• Following through and monitoring agreed actions to improve product quality consistency
• Clearly communicating any quality issues within the team

Essential / Desirable skills include:

• Food Science / Technology qualification (HND, BSc or Masters) or relevant experience
• Experience in monitoring online quality of products within the food industry
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Ability to work unsupervised yet seek help where required
• Ambition to progress to a wider quality assurance role in due course

The Company:

Working hours for the role are 7am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Overtime (paid at a higher rate), will include Saturday mornings on a rota basis and some longer weekdays as required to meet the needs of the business.

The role is hourly paid with an equivalent annual salary of up to £30k, dependent upon overtime worked.
