Here at Seashell, we provide care and education for children and young people (up to 25 years old) with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairment and communication disorders and autism.


We are recruiting an Executive Assistant to work under our Senior Executive Assistant & Governance Officer to assist in the delivery of support to our CEO, Executive Leadership Team and trust-wide senior stakeholders.


Role summary:


  • To provide high level executive administration and organisational service to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Manage the secretarial and administrative needs of the Board of Trustees to provide support and management of committees through co‐ordination of an effective planning work cycle, one year in advance, via a robust governance schedule.
  • Application of broad practical experience in order to support the Board and various sub‐committees.
  • Providing effective executive and business support to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team in delivering their executive accountabilities and ensure they have all they need to fulfil their duties.

Key responsibilities:


  • High quality administrative and support services for CEO and Executive Team provision of confidential administrative service and assistance through accurate and proactive diary management
  • Meeting facilitation, planning and support
  • Support Governance arrangements formal Board and Subcommittee meeting facilitation, minuting and support.

About you

  • Extensive experience working as a Personal/Executive Assistant at a senior level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships with positive influence.
  • Excellent IT skills and good understanding of Microsoft (including SharePoint and Teams) and other similar IT packages.
  • Extensive experience of minute taking at Board and senior management level.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working under pressure.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Confident, honest, reliable person who is flexible in approach.
