£35,000-£65,000
/ Performance bonus / Yearly bonus +

Hybrid Working:

  • Depending on experience. This is a key position within our business; we are looking for the right individual to help build our P3M capability and offering across our i3works business.

Overview
We are looking for a passionate Project Manager.

The work will be varied, stretching and you will have the chance to shape decisions that will have significant strategic influence on the business and our clients' businesses.


You will lead, guide and influence stakeholders and teams using effective communication, and utilisation of project management aligned to the agreed delivery strategy.

This is an outward-facing role requiring effective leadership and stakeholder engagement together with well-developed collaborative working practices.

Role Summary


The Project Manager will be responsible for the Management and delivery of plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included, and performance is adequately monitored.

They will work with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all aspects of the project assigned to identify and mitigate potential risks for the delivery of products, particularly to that requirements are managed and delivered to date and time.


You will develop stakeholder relationships with suppliers; including preparation of joint plans; proposals and any design and build documentation as well as preparing technical briefs, costing analysis, status reports and meeting minutes/notes.


Core Skills:

You will be providing consultancy support to clients around portfolio, programme and project planning and controls.

The below responsibilities are not exhaustive, it is a list of chosen responsibilities which you will need to demonstrate:


  • Experience in defining, managing and delivering complex projects, programmes and portfolios
  • Recent experience of working within the Ministry of Defence, Nuclear, Public Sector, IT or Infrastructure programmes
  • Understand the classification and protection of classified information
  • Programme / Portfolio office organisation
  • Leadership of Programme assurance reviews on projects of increasing size and complexity and in the delivery of major business and change management solutions
  • Conversant with continuous improvement and benchmarking methodologies
  • Expertise in multiple planning management and control disciplines
  • Fully conversant with risk and opportunity management including associated methodologies
  • Implementation of benefits management, quality management, and blueprint design and delivery principles
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Demonstrable effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to bid manage complex proposals and provide technical assurance of bid costings and scope, leading bid teams and opportunity pursuit teams
  • Ability to identify key areas for the department to develop capability
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary Programme teams, managing performance and delivery

Desirable:


  • Consultancy experience is highly desirable
  • Experience in the Defence industry
  • Security Clearance
  • Full Member of APM is desirable
  • APM Practitioner is desirable
  • PMP Professional is desirable
  • PRINCE practitioner is desirable
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) practitioner
  • Management of Projects (MoP) practitioner
