As an EFL Teacher with Oxford International Junior Programmes, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons at one of our residential language centres.
All candidates need to be over 18 years old, eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Disclosure Check and/or an Overseas Police Check.
Experience working with children/teenagers, ideally in a residential camp setting or similarnSignificant teaching experiencenThe ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforcenA positive and flexible approach to work, along with the ability to adapt to changing circumstancesnA desire to work with students aged between 8-17nThe ability to demonstrate respect for equal opportunities and respect for race and diversitynA bachelor's degree and a CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or equivalentnEligibility to work in the UK
Duties
Academic duties
Ensure lessons are delivered to the highest standard by:
Preparing business skills EFL lessons and adapting existing materials to suit your students' needs and abilities.nDelivering lessons with the aim of achieving the objectives of the syllabus and to the standards set out by your Director of Studies.nManaging student behaviour effectively to allow each learner to experience an academically fulfilling environment.nAlways encouraging student participation through a positive and enthusiastic approach to your work.
Ensure the academic team works smoothly by:nAttending staff meetings, as and when necessary.nRemaining impartial and fair, following the assessment criteria provided.nKeeping administration up-to-date.
Student welfare
Ensure the student body is safe and happy in our care by:nMaintaining proper levels of student discipline, safety and welfare.nComplying with Oxford International Junior Programmes' Child Safeguarding policy at all times.
Further successfully perform your role by:
Responding to emergencies whenever necessary.nMaintaining suitable levels of student discipline, safety, and welfare.nAlways encouraging students to use English.nCarrying out and/or consult risk assessments whenever required.nAttending the company's staff training weekend (where applicable).nAttending all induction days prior to the students arriving.nAttending all staff briefings and take part in all necessary health and safety training.nCommitting to be being a positive role model through your employment.nCarrying out all other reasonable tasks.
