About the Role

As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Physical Education and School Sport, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our BA (Hons) Physical Education and School Sport programme.

This will involve contributing to the delivery of modules focused on physical education practical areas of study, pedagogy, and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

You will also be expected to contribute to research and/or knowledge exchange activities in line with our Departmental strategies for these core pillars of activity.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.

You will have expertise in physical education pedagogy and practical areas of physical education study and be able to contribute to other areas of the Physical Education and School Sport degree programme.

Very good teaching experience on undergraduate physical education programmes is preferable, and a background in school/college physical education teaching with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage.

You will have a higher degree (or be working towards/have a desire to gain one) and aspirations to gain research or knowledge exchange experience in a physical education/sport pedagogy-related area.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
