Excellent opportunity on offer for an ambitious, career-driven individual to join the UK's leading distributor and stockist of fluid sealing products.

Location, Birmingham (Smethwick, B67). Salary depends on experience + yearly and Christmas bonus.


The Role:


Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will source parts/products, rationalize suppliers and processes, evaluate and negotiate pricing, and produce reports in line with M Barnwell Services objectives.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing globally, ensuring best market value, whilst considering currency exchange rates
  • Rationalise suppliers, maintaining and building on existing databases / methods
  • Working closely with the Purchasing and Sales Team to ensure products are correctly sourced in line with technical specifications and acceptable lead times
  • Ensure all orders are planned considering shipping and import procedures
  • Ensuring stock availability whilst maintaining safety stock levels in line with order book and forecasting
  • Developing and maintaining existing documentation, reports and processes
  • Monitoring and analysis of spend against budget
  • VMI supplier management, on site audits, supplier reviews
As a key member of the team, you will also be given additional ad-hoc tasks allocated by Senior Management.

Job Types:

Salary:
£20,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
