Description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a talented English Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team in the Barnstaple area, within an SEN school committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Position: English Teacher (SEN)
Location: Barnstaple
Type: Full-time/Part-time
Key Responsibilities:
Tailored Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student.
Engaging Classroom Environment: Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters student engagement and a love for learning.
Student Assessment and Support: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed to ensure every student thrives.
Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and support staff to deliver a holistic education program.
Parental Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest SEN teaching strategies and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Teaching certification/license (if applicable).
Proven experience working with students with special educational needs.
Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
