    We are currently looking to recruit a Band 6 Clinical Educator to join the cardiothoracic ward on a fixed term contract.

    The successful candidate will be highly motivated, passionate about staff development and education, have excellent communication skills and be currently working as a Band 6 or actively working towards a Band 6 in cardiothoracic.


    You will be working closely with the Senior Clinical Educator, the ward manager, other PDN within the directorate and the Divisional Lead for Practice Development and Education.

    The Clinical Educator (CE) will identify training needs, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities for students, new starters and existing members of non-medical staff (Band 1-6) within their clinical area and the directorate in the Division.

    The Clinical Educator (CE) will identify training needs, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities for students, new starters and existing members within their clinical area and the cardiac directorate.


    The CE should advocate for and contribute to a working environment that promotes evidence-based practice, continuous positive learning and development that promotes effective use of resources.
