    Have you sold soft skills (sales, leadership etc.) training or eLearning or any form of learning solutions before?

    Do you enjoy doing a mix of prospecting, up-selling, cross-selling and account management?

    Can you bring some of your contacts and clients with you and easily fill your diary with calls and meetings.

    On behalf of our client, we are sourcing hungry dynamic sales people who have at least 3 years experience in selling soft skills training or ExecEd or elearning solutions to corporate clients in the UK.

    Our client is a leading provider of corporate training solutions around the world and owing to their exciting and ambitious growth agenda they have immediate openings for Business Development Managers.

    The role is hybrid with a day or so in the Bracknell office per week.

    The roles in detail:

    • Build a portfolio of mid and large size corporate client accounts in London and the South East. This will require prospecting activity on your part.
    • Achieve a personal target of at least £500k (less in the first year as it may take 3-6 months to build the pipeline)
    • Respond to enquiries by clarifying need, probing for relevant background data, providing relevant information, logging details and following up to advance the sale
    • Follow up client or prospect requests with proposals, marketing 'literature' and relevant information, on a timely basis
    • Prepare effective and compelling sales proposals and presentations
    • Support the marketing effort where required, such as representing the business at networking events
    • Account management

    What you must be/have:

    • Experience in building a book of business but equally comfortable account managing
    • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
    • Sales track record in L&D related areas, especially in selling sales and/or leadership related skills straining
    • Professional attitude with hard working nature
    • Enthusiastic, professional and courteous with clients and colleagues
    • Self-starter
    • Adept at building client relationships
    • Commercially-minded
    • A passion for delighting the customer and a client mind-set
    • A learning ethos, seeking and being receptive to feedback while always looking for ways to develop

    The salary is competitive for the number of years of experience required and bonus and commissions are of course on top.
