A unique opportunity has arisen to join our Learning Support Department as a 1:1 Learning Support Tutor.

Working Hours:
Full time position - 37.5hrs a week during term time, plus all school training days. _Part time positions also available Please state your desired working pattern for part time positions in your cover letter._

Salary:
£24,000 - £26,000 FTE

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The tutor must have good organisational skills and be able to liaise effectively with parents and colleagues with diplomacy and sensitivity.

They should be an effective and experienced tutor of SEND pupils, with specific experience in delivering 1:1 interventionto pupils with dyslexia.

Pupils who attend learning support are taught individually and in small groups on a withdrawal basis where our committed staff inspire our pupils to gain a love of learning, an inquisitive mind, and the confidence to try new things.

KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Essential:

Uptodate knowledge of specific learning difficulties, particularly dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism and dyspraxia.
Experience in EAL tuition or willingness to develop expertise in this area.
Understanding of multisensory teaching methods.
Experience of supporting dyslexic students in a school setting.
