Are you looking to advance in you career in Speech and Language ? Then why not become a speech and language teaching assistant ?


Ortus recruitment are looking for a motivated teaching assistant who has experienced working with children with speech and language difficulties.

You will need the ability to work within a team and independently, seen as you will be working one to one with students and in small groups in the classroom.

What will you role include:


  • Working one to one with students helping them with their spelling and pronunciation of words.
  • Supporting children within the classroom, break and lunch
  • Collaborating with teachers to ensure that children's needs are met
  • Monitoring and tracking children's progress to ensure they are making good progress and adjusting the lessons so they can improve in areas they are struggling with
  • Encouraging the students to interact with their peers so they build up their self esteem.
