St Mary's is a popular and successful residential special school and college for pupils / students aged 5 to 19 with speech, language and communication needs, learning difficulties and other associated SEND.
We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic, flexible and innovative teachers as a result of a continuing increase in pupil numbers at our school.
We welcome applications from highly successful and experienced primary, secondary, mainstream or special school teachers. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have successfully worked with children with SEND in their current or previous experience. One of our available positions requires experience of teaching Btec qualifications. Another requires an ability to teach and potentially lead Computing. Therefore, we are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in these aspects. Other posts available require more general experience, but we ask candidates to please identify aspects of particular strength and successful experience when applying.
We would like to appoint teachers who are able to adapt well to new challenges and are committed to raising achievement and who have the ability to demonstrate outstanding practice and high ambition for our pupils and students. The successful candidates will be especially skilled in differentiating planning, implementing additional support programs to meet pupils' / students' specific needs and who are able to manage a support staff team.
