This is a non-pensionable allowance paid monthly and payable whilst you remain in the role.
The RRA is an enhancement to the role and is reviewed annually.

Job summary:


  • Every day in JICC is different, as you are responsible for facilitating and developing intelligence in relation to a variety of criminal activity linking to National Crime Agency (NCA) priorities and threat areas. You will be working in a dynamic environment, prioritising and managing expectations of both UK and International partners, while delivering a quality service to meet customer needs. You will be required to maintain a flexible and innovative approach, adapting to fluctuating demands and priorities, which could range from simple intelligence checks to complex crimes in action.

Job description:


The JICC is the focal point for all International enquiries both into and out of the UK with International policing partners via the channels of INTERPOL and Europol.

In addition, the JICC is the UK Central Authority for the UK Trade and Co-operation Agreement (TACA) focusing on locating fugitives in the UK and abroad for extradition.

The JICC work closely with the NCA International ILO network and law enforcement across the UK.

The JICC is a high volume, high risk environment.

Working at a national and international level, the JICC is a demanding, busy and interesting place to work, with every day being different and presenting new challenges.


Person specification:

Main Responsibilities

  • Handle Interpol and Europol enquiries relating to a range of crime types.
  • Identify urgent enquiries and ensure processes are followed according to policy and procedures.
  • Develop intelligence to locate and facilitate the arrest of Fugitives located in the UK on behalf of international law enforcement partners.
  • Liaising with partners across UK Police forces, the Crown Prosecution Service and foreign law enforcement partners.
  • Engagement in project work as required.
  • The JICC operates from 07.00 until 18.00 and your daily hours of duty will be within that range depending on the requirements of the business.
