An exciting opportunity to join the Digital Services' Capital Planning and Contracts Team at the Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust, as a Senior Admin Support Officer on a fixed term / secondment basis.


As part of a small friendly and innovative team that is responsible for delivering high quality reporting and accountability for over 60 IT contracts, you will be key members of the team providing comprehensive senior administrative support to the Digital Services Delivery Teams and Operations Teams.


The post holders will be based at the City Hospital Campus but there may be occasion to travel across both campuses.

Main duties of the job


This role requires an experienced Senior Admin Support Officer who can support the work of a busy Admin Support Team and be able to demonstrate flexibility / adaptability to deal with changes in the workload and priorities within the service as they arise.


Using your own initiative to organise the workload within defined deadlines facilitating clear communications to a wide range of individuals.


We are looking for an individual to be able to act as knowledgeable points of contact for escalated financial matters and departmental processes from Digital Services staff and finance, procurement, and external organisations.

You will also process invoices and assist the Digital Services department with raising orders via the internal finance system.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Secondary school standard of education in basic numeracy and literacy
  • Secretarial / Administrative qualification to RSA III or equivalent
Desirable criteria

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Recent significant experience in a similar administration / support role
  • Experience of financial processes and working within governance constraints of a complex organisation
  • Experience in finance tracking and updating financebased spreadsheets
Desirable criteria

  • Previous NHS experience
Analytical and Judgement Skills

Essential criteria

  • Ability to use judgment to make decisions in order to solve financial problems and enquiries
  • Attention to detail to ensure that correct information is produced / communicated
Planning and Organisation Skills

Essential criteria

  • Time management skills including the ability to prioritise, plan and manage own workload.
  • Experience in / ability to arrange meetings liaising with multiple organisations.

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
