The company has experienced significant growth due to the increased interest in home cooking that emerged during the pandemic. As people are now embracing new flavors and dishes, this company has expanded to cater to the demand for sophisticated and international cuisine.
Description:
This Regional Sales Executive within the food sector is based near London but involves frequent travel across Europe, typically 3 weeks a month. If you are fluent in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and have a solid sales background in the food industry, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic specialist food business that imports food products and ingredients into the UK and Holland.
The role is highly independent, involving interactions with existing clients (such as supermarkets and retailers) as well as acquiring new clients to introduce them to new products. It's an exciting position that aligns with the growing enthusiasm for Asian cuisine seen throughout Europe. To excel in this role, you must have a robust B2B sales background in the food industry, and there are promising career prospects within this expanding sector, with international travel to meet clients.
Location:
Greater London with extensive travel to Europe (3 weeks a month)
Languages Required:
Fluent Chinese and English. Knowledge of another EU language is advantageous.
Salary:
Up to £55,000 + annual bonus based on company and personal performance
Work Style:
This is a hybrid role involving frequent travel (around 3 weeks per month)
Essential Background:
Experience in the food sector, particularly in sales and business development.
Duties:
- Managing a mix of existing and new key retail and restaurant clients, including supermarkets
- Collaborating with the product development team to introduce new products and expand the portfolio
- Overseeing and optimizing the sales revenue of the food product portfolio
- Ensuring sales targets are met
- Managing the P&L for the portfolio
- Handling sales forecasts, preparing monthly sales reports and analyses
- Driving retail sell-in/sell-out and growing market share
- Collaborating with Marketing to innovate and boost sales revenue and customer awareness
- Designing promotions and evaluating outcomes
- Maintaining adequate client inventory levels
Requirements:
- Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
- Willing to travel extensively within the EU (around 3 weeks per month)
- Fluency in another EU language is a bonus
- Previous B2B sales experience in the food industry
- Valid driver's license (essential for customer visits)
