    Job Overview

    The Medical Specialties Training Programme Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering educational programs for doctors in training, supporting Continuous Professional Development, and maintaining high standards set by NHS England and other professional organizations.

    • Provide comprehensive administrative services with a focus on excellent customer care
    • Coordinate various training programs including Internal Medicine, Higher Medical Specialties, Renal Medicine, Audio-Vestibular, Pathology, and Radiology
    • Organize weekly Grand Rounds at St Helier and Epsom Hospitals
    • Offer front-of-house services, reception, audio-visual support, and general assistance for conferences and events
    • Support educational programs for Locally Employed Doctors (LEDs) including Horus portfolio assistance and practical procedure training

    Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities:

    As the Training Programme Coordinator, responsibilities include providing front-of-house services, organizing educational services, collating evaluation data, and maintaining accurate trainee records for Annual Reviews of Competency Progression.

    • Administer and organize educational services for training programs
    • Collate and report on course evaluation and assessment data
    • Maintain accurate trainee records and e-portfolios
    • Co-ordinate Local Faculty Groups for various specialties
    • Support the development of high-quality training programs
    • Liaise with Grand Round convenors for smooth program operations

    Person Specification:

    Qualifications and Training

    Essential Criteria:

    • GCSE/A Level or equivalent (Maths and English essential)

    Desirable Criteria:

    • First degree or equivalent experience

    Experience

    Essential Criteria:

    • 2 years administrative experience in an educational environment

    Desirable Criteria:

    • Experience working in a health environment

    Knowledge and Skills

    Essential Criteria:

    • Excellent organisational and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft software package
    • Competence in online teaching platforms
    • Experience in minute taking and drafting

    Desirable Criteria:

    • Knowledge of medical education
    • Experience with e-learning systems
    • Data entry, validation, and compliance experience
