  • Lockton is investing in talent for the future in our dedicated Law Society of Scotland Team.
  • The role is dedicated to the production and delivery of Risk Management to the Scottish legal profession. This includes delivery of seminars, articles and content together with identifying loss and trends and designing and building resources which will assist law firms in both their understanding and elimination of risk. Strong clientfacing advisory and consultative skills are necessary with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely required. Appreciation of The Master Policy for Professional Indemnity Insurance would be very beneficial, but not essential.
  • Employee Specification
  • Scottish qualified solicitor with experience of working in the legal profession in private practice, within the public sector or as "inhouse" legal resource.
  • Experience of building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Interested in risk management and compliance for law firms.

Qualification:


  • Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills writing reports, articles, letters and presentations as well as delivering talks and seminars internally and externally; ability to communicate openly and confidently, conveying a high level of integrity and credibility
  • Experience and knowledge of Scottish residential property work would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Understanding a collaborative organisational culture
  • Strong stakeholder management and client engagement skills
  • Ability to think and act strategically as well as being task focused
  • Selfstarter motivated and able to work to deadlines with authority
  • Commercial awareness of the legal sector
  • Awareness of The Master Policy for Professional Indemnity Insurance (desirable)
  • Flexible able to adapt to changing situations and competing demands
