The successful applicant will play a key role in the delivery of Employment, Skills and Adult Learning related manifesto commitments and wider council strategies.

The post-holder will be responsible for taking the lead in various recruitment projects, to contribute to the daily operation of the job brokerage function; deputise for the Employment & Skills Brokerage Manager at various events and stakeholder meetings, and liaise with partners to ensure a seamless team and service delivery.


The successful applicant will work with colleagues across the council and external stakeholders, to drive the delivery of employment and skills-related objectives.

The post-holder will take an active lead on working with partners to source local talent and match to live opportunities, and build an effective and purposeful talent pool.

Additionally, the post-holder will lead on recruitment campaigns by working with internal Hiring Managers across the council and partner organisation Hiring Managers, to handle their recruitment needs.


The successful applicant will have proven experience of employer engagement and talent sourcing; be self-motivated; highly organised; able to prioritise well, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of people.

A positive attitude is essential, as is a willingness to work autonomously and use creative mechanisms to overcome challenges.
