Overview:

Property Field Adjuster - North


Within the role of Property Field Adjuster you will handle a wide range of commercial and domestic losses and be required to investigate, report upon and settle claims.


Responsibilities:


  • Investigate, manage and report on a caseload of Property claims.
  • Handle a full and varied caseload from cradle to grave, and will require management of all aspects of claims, including liaising with clients, policyholders, determination of policy cover, scope and quantum assessments, settlement negotiations and recovery pursual where required.
  • Wide portfolio of claim handling including but not exclusively Property (Commercial & Domestic), Real Estate, HNW, Public and Local Authorities across a range of different risks.
  • Ensure that claims are handled properly, fairly and with integrity.
  • Maintain high standards of communication with senior management, team members and principals so that information on significant claims trends is acquired.
  • Attend claims meetings and travel as required.
  • Participate in the claims auditing process.
  • Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures
  • Any other duties as required by Gallagher Bassett

Qualifications:

  • Experience of investigating and handling property claims is essential.
  • Cradle to grave claims handling.
  • CILA and/ or CII qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Clear, demonstrable understanding of construction, mitigation, liability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Scheduling of works.
  • Working with insurers, policyholders, builders.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients/carriers/brokers through active listening and close adherence to their priorities, style and Service Instructions.
