As part of this programme we are changing the way we deliver services for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and disabilities (
SEND) and their families.

Your new role


We are looking for an SEND Monitoring and Review Officer to join the SEND Service on a full time, permanent basis.

As an SEND Monitoring and Review Officer, you will work with the SEN team to provide comprehensive administrative support regarding all issues related to service delivery.

This contract is within an established team and is being offered on a hybrid work pattern (blend of working from home and in the office).


As an SEND Monitoring and Review Officer, you will monitor all shared team inboxes and incoming mail and distribute to the appropriate team member in an accurate and timely manner.

You will also support the SEN Service to ensure that the Annual Review process has been completed for all pupils with an EHCP within the 12-month timescale.

You will provide an efficient and courteous response to telephone enquiries as required.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, it is vital that you have good knowledge and understanding of GDPR requirements. You need to highly organized, be able to prioritize and meet deadlines and be effective at time management.

You will be expected to understand and adhere to confidentiality policy and able to deal with issues sensitively and professionally.


Effective communication is vital for this role as you will be liaison with parents/carers, education leaders and partner agencies both in writing and verbally.

Previous experience of working in a busy team in an administrative capacity will be ideal for this role.
