Job description:


Vacancy Description


With your appointment as Crypto Management Lead, and joint Crypto Custodian of the Rosa Service, you will be playing a vital role at the heart of government security.

You will be responsible for one of the UK government's largest crypto estates, while also managing at least two other resources in the conduct of related services.


Responsibilities

  • Providing advice to colleagues on all aspects of Crypto Management and participating as required to successfully deal with enquiries, approval requests, incidents, and audits.
  • Creating and maintaining clear and accurate process documentation for all team activity.
  • Measuring and reporting on key performance indicators that support process effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Building effective working relationships with key stakeholders (inside and outside the RSO).
  • Producing clear and accurate written reports for line management and relevant authorities.
  • Supporting, participating in, and advising on relevant strategic projects, and RSO security group functional strategy.

Person specification:


Essential Skills

  • Experience of working as a Crypto Custodian
  • A thorough understanding of the government IS4 standard for Cryptography
  • Experience of implementing processes, taking account of key process risks and implementing appropriate controls.
  • Experience of delivering crypto management services in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of making operational decisions based on risk assessments.

Desirable Skills

  • A relevant security qualification.
  • Line management experience.
  • Networking and influencing experience in a government security role.
