Do you have payroll experience? Are you available for interim work?


We are currently looking for a payroll professional on an interim basis for 14 months to join our busy and established team in our Glasgow or London office to work collaboratively with our current Payroll and Benefits Associates, HR Managers, International Payroll Manager and the HR Shared Services team.

In this role you will support the HR and the International Payroll Manager in the management of Chubb's International & UK Payrolls, ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.

In addition, you will act as an internal liaison and co-ordination point for an outsourced payroll service covering circa 27 countries and approx.

3,000 employees.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Collate, interpret and validate data sent for monthly processing ensuring that you provide data to the outsourced payroll providers to meet monthly processing deadlines.


Provide data management support for the Emerging Markets outsourced providers so that the movement of payroll data to and from the providers is clearly logged and stored Securely.


Administer Chubb benefit schemes in conjunction with our HR team in Glasgow and the Comp & Bens team in London.

Accountable for checking all starters and, leavers payments.

Responsible for managing the Overpayment log and raising all overpayment cases to the HR Manager on a monthly basis.


Administer statutory payments information (Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)) to 3rd party outsourced payroll provider to ensure correct payment.


Main point of contact for all payroll related questions and queries and will complete and submit monthly UK National Statistics.

On occasion, support the team and HRSS Manager with ongoing payroll projects.

Responsibility for the monthly reconciliation of the UK & Irish pension scheme alongside sending the payment.

Reconcile the Gross to Net report to the social security and taxes due for the pay period.

Ensure all third-party benefits are reconciled in the current pay period.

Set up new PAYE payrolls with vendor and carry out user acceptance testing


Preparation of Appendix 5 on an ongoing basis for HMRC submission, completion of the EYU's and submission of all related payroll documents for the tax year-end.


Ensure reconciliation of all payrolls to HR headcount report and generate & submit files to the payroll provider by predetermined deadlines.


Qualifications:


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

UK payroll and benefits knowledge and experience

Highly numerate with knowledge of payroll systems

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft excel skills

Willing to learn international payroll or have some international payroll experience

Experience working with and managing outsourced Partners

Proven experience using an in-house payroll system

Knowledge or experience in using a benefits portal is advantageous

Ability to work with the minimum supervision with a high degree of accuracy and Attention to detail

Deadline driven with good punctuality, strong Interpersonal skills and ability to prioritise


You work well as part of a team and display discretion and confidentiality while demonstrating sound commercial awareness, with the ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of different audiences.
