The Job You'll Do;

Develop and release new safety restraint and other systems, on time, to budget, technical and cost requirements.
Supports other functions (Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Project Management) in order to deliver cost effective solutions and NPI, to meet/exceed customer and regulatory requirements, in a specified timeframe.
Continually develops indepth technical knowledge of all company manufacturing processes and products with a understanding of their potential in the global marketplace.
Works closely with FEA, Engineering, CAPE, QA and 3rd party testing facilities to ensure full validation of all products and systems.
Within the engineering team work with the Manufacturing/Quality Engineer to support development of production processes/controls and to also deputize in their absence in order to support all daytoday manufacturing functions, where appropriate.
Proficient use of Solidworks 3D CAD and other business systems, to develop, communicate and innovate products.

About You;

Relevant experience within an Application Engineer vacancy previously or similar.
Minimum 5 years experience within a manufacturing environment/organisation.
Degree Qualified within an Engineering Discipline (Ideally Meng Mechanical Engineering) or the equivalent.
Proficient use of Solidworks 3D CAD.
Lean Six-Sigma trained.
Experience of working directly and confidently with customers and OEM's at all organizational levels.
Excellent experience of using APQP/DFMEA/Stagegate to drive design and validation requirements for NPI.
Demonstrate an ability to manage multiple complex projects, concurrently.
