Progress Tutor - Professional Policing:

Job description

Applications are invited for the role of Progress Tutor, to support and monitor student officers on our two work-based programmes: the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and the Graduate Diploma in Professional Policing Practice which are delivered in partnership with West Yorkshire Police.

The successful applicants will be responsible for supporting a group of student officers throughout their programme, through induction, regular Progress Review meetings, and as a point of contact for additional personal, academic or progress-related support.

You will develop a good knowledge of the programmes, and the services available at both Leeds Trinity University and West Yorkshire Police.

We are seeking individuals with some experience of supporting students in a work-place setting.

Knowledge of degree/higher apprenticeships would be an advantage, as would professional experience and/or experience of Further or Higher Education delivery in academic areas such as police studies, criminology, law, sociology and other social sciences.

Above all the successful applicants need to be able to demonstrate a passion for learning and a commitment to providing the highest level of student and learning support.

Hours of work will be 35 hours per week.

Progress review meetings will be held at a variety of locations in West Yorkshire as well as via Microsoft Teams.
