The Role


Reporting directly to the CFO, the Group Health and Safety Manager will assume full responsibility for all Health, Safety and Security policies in this multi-site role.

Providing operational management and ensuring communication and legislation adherencethrough effective, training and instruction.

You will continually develop, monitor & review all policies, risk assessments, procedures and guidance across the business to promote, develop & sustain a positive health & safety awareness culture.

Your passionfor H&S will inspire others, whilst your ability to demonstrate and communicate best practice will ensure thorough compliance and understanding.

Also driving H&S excellence through the design and implementation of bespoke and mandatory training and tool boxtalks and team development.


Requirements:


  • Full responsibility for maintaining and developing Health & Safety adherence, values and policies across all sites in line with company and legal requirements
  • Continuous management, implementation and development of H&S strategy, risk plans and the delivery of policies and practices
  • Incident and accident investigation and process management/RCA to prevent reoccurence
  • Carry out regular site safety audits in line with company, HSE & BRC requirements
  • Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture
  • Assessing upcoming challenges and ensuring health and safety solutions are in place
  • Undertaking incident investigation to identify root cause and reoccurrence prevention
  • Developing, implement and manage training initiatives to improve overall H & S performance and culture
  • Develop and support Health & Safety Advisor

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in similar Health & Safety focussed role
  • Food Processing/Manufacturing/FMCG environment preferred
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant IOSH membership & NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
  • Strong and effective communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Strong influencing skills and stakeholder management ability
  • Extensive working knowledge of effective health and safety management strategies
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Previous multisite experience a distinct advantage
  • Full UK driving licence
