The Role
A great NEW opportunity to join our busy IT team

Are you a solution driven, proactive team player? Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for supporting Barfoots core business IT network infrastructure and backend systems.

Assisting with the support, management and administrationof the business network and IT systems, you will be capable of effective problem resolution and associated software administration.

The workflow is fast-paced and requires the ability to respond effectively to change, challenges and priorities.

With lots of projects both current and new, you can expect to be busy. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in a modern, forward-thinking organisation.

Commercially & operationally aware, with excellent customer service/communication skills,both written and verbal, you will be a confident and proactive team player, with a focus on continuous improvement at all times.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Assist the Head of IT to ensure business developments are supported by appropriate IT solutions
Maintain all necessary IT procedures and ensure that all systems are supported by the necessary documentation and manuals
Manage implementations of new systems and take ownership of IT projects within the business
Manage incidents through the service desk
Undertake administration, proactive monitoring and maintenance of the infrastructure and IT systems
Mentor other members of the IT team
Assist/Train staff on any IT aspects as appropriate

Requirements:

Required Knowledge/Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a network / infrastructure support role
Proven and demonstrable experience in implementing and supporting IT infrastructure including servers, and networks (switches)
Server virtualisation (preferably VMware)
Microsoft Windows Server
Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft Exchange Server
Enterprise switches (preferably Cisco)
Understanding of firewall technology
Network printing
Network cabling (including Cat5 termination)
Wireless technology
Understanding of telephony systems
Full UK driving licence and valid passport
