Impact millions, join Product Design.
We are currently looking for a Senior Ux Researcher to join our Product Design team.

Reporting to the Director of Product Design, you will work within a product design team whose mission is to create solid and delightful streaming experiences that meet user needs and business goals.

You will use your experience across data and user research methodologies to collect user feedback, create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers, and work cross-functionally with design, product, data and research teams to inform design strategies and product opportunities.

The design team, which consists of UX, UI, Product designers and a UX writer, work in collaborative cross-functional teams who strive to grow our products and services by optimising the paths that our prospect and lapsed viewers take to connect with the core value of our streaming service, ITVX.

To be able to hit the ground running, you must have proven experience in a consumer facing UX research role, and be able to demonstrate your impact on the product's trajectory.

This role will span across multi-platform experiences, from mobile to web and Connected TV's.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Identify high-impact projects, prioritise requests, and negotiate scope, timing, and deliverables.
  • Organise, draft and execute user research activities from recruiting participants, preparing discussion guides and moderating research sessions.
  • Propose the right research methodology to test a variety of hypothesis and help the wider product team make usercentric design decisions
  • Incorporate complex technical, legal and business requirements into research
  • Collect and analyse user behaviour, translating findings into stories and actions that transfer into valuable improvements.
  • Work closely with our wider Research Team which includes ITV Audiences.
  • Effectively communicate user research findings across the business to a variety of stakeholders, and ensure a deeper understanding of users and their needs.
  • Train other members of the Product Design team to democratise UX research. Build user centred practices by creating presentations, providing training sessions & handson delivery.
  • Create a body of knowledge that is built cumulatively, so each test or experiment builds on past learnings, and improves our research function over time.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • You have experience producing impactful, highquality research that shapes product decisions.
  • You have experience utilising various research design methods (i.e. usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).
  • Experience leading strategic research efforts and integrating user research into product designs.
  • Comfortable in a highlytechnical environment; ability to engage with quantitative stakeholders and understand quantitative findings and materials.
  • Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organisation.
  • You are passionate about usability and accessibility with a mission to create purposeful experiences for a diverse audience.
  • You love to learn and are constantly looking for opportunities to grow yourself and your impact.
  • You are deeply passionate about creating healthy relationships with respect, equality, empowerment and safety at their core.
  • Experience with data manipulation tools and statistical analysis packages is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of the Broadcasting, TV and Streaming industry is desirable but not essential.
