    My client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team.

    You will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of the purchase and sales ledgers, including the processing of invoices for payment, and reconciling supplier statements to ensure the finance team achieves its deadlines and targets.

    Offering a superb salary, £25,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on your experience. This is a full time, permanent opportunity, offering a superb package as detailed below.

    You will be updating accounts ledgers, preparing invoices or receipts, and receiving payments.


    • Post and process supplier invoices to supplier accounts using Sage 50 or equivalent.
    • Sorting and distribution of invoices and credit notes via email.
    • Coding of invoices and arranging sign off by department managers.
    • Setting up new supplier accounts in Sage or equivalent.
    • Reconciling all supplier statements received in a timely manner to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and payments to suppliers.
    • Communicating with suppliers to raise any invoice queries or request copy invoices in a prompt manner, by phone and email.
    • Ensuring electronic filing of invoices and maintenance of purchase ledger folders
    • Recording and reconciling all incoming financial transactions received.
    Proven experience within sales and purchase ledger.


    • Computer literate in MS Word and Excel.
    • AAT Qualified or relevant experience in an account's environments 2 years +.
