Salary:
£23,000 per annum


Hours:
Monday - Friday (9:30am-5:30pm). Flexible hours considered.

Flexibility will be required when working to deadlines.

Purpose of the Job


As a key member of D&AD's Foundation team you will play a vital role in supporting the development and delivery of learning programmes that equip creative people at all stages of their education and career with the skills required to succeed.


Key Responsibilities:

Administration

Support on the development of key New Blood Awards submission documents such as the FAQ guide, artworking briefs, etc.

Manage the Foundation Team's diary to arrange in-person talks as part of New Blood Awards Call For Entries.

Book travel to events for team members when needed.


Proofread the New Blood Awards Ceremony script and slides, and ensure presenters have access to pronunciation guides for entries and entrant names.

Proofread and update winning New Blood Awards Entries

Support across the Academy programme, including processing payment requests for stipends and travel bursaries.

Book travel and accommodation for Masterclass trainers/staff when needed.

Assorted administrative tasks including creating Masterclass session call sheets.

Collate feedback across programmes from Typeform into Canva.

Provide admin support on D&AD Campus, overseeing the team's access requirements, managing voucher codes, and adding new users.

Collate and share resources, job positions and relevant opportunities with the Shift Alumni.

Update Shift presentations and documents.

Write weekly posts thanking Shift contributors on our D&AD Shift LinkedIn account.

Support with Shift administrative tasks when needed.


Customer Service and Communications


Use the D&AD query database to log and resolve all queries relating to New Blood, Masterclasses and Shift and re-directing them to team members if required.

Deal confidently and efficiently with incoming and outgoing queries.

Provide a high level of customer service to the D&AD community.

Support with judge communications for New Blood Awards and the Portfolio Competition.

Support with university and entrant communications for New Blood Festival and Academy.

Contact and secure New Blood Festival and Academy Speakers, including phoning speakers where necessary.

Operations

  • Manage Pencil orders (including for the New Blood Awards Ceremony) including running reports, proofreading printing requests, packaging and distributing.
  • Support the production team with cataloguing entries for New Blood Awards.
  • Support with coordinating judges for the Editor X & New Blood Awards Portfolio Competition.
  • Check through all entries submitted into the Portfolio Competition.
  • Check through all submissions into the New Blood Academy.
Event Support

  • Support New Blood Awards Jury Managers with general judges queries and as a general cohost for any jury should a Jury Manager face connection or other issues.
  • Support the coordination of portfolio reviews and any inperson events.
  • Support onsite New Blood Festival activations.
  • Support inperson Masterclasses hosted at D&AD
  • Support and document inperson Shift London sessions hosted at D&AD and various agencies.
Research

  • Complete research tasks on competitors and university courses.
  • Research key dates across the academic year to help inform New Blood Awards timeline planning.
  • Complete any other research tasks required for the Foundation & Masterclass team, for example competitor research.
General

  • This role will also support the office manager, and will be required to cover reception during the office manager's absence.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Foundation Manager or Senior Manager, including supporting any additional programmes.

Knowledge of the design and advertising industry (desirable but not essential).
