Senior Deployment Specialist:


The CloudM Senior Deployment Specialist will be involved in the full lifecycle of managed projects, from project initiation, solution design, implementation and project closure.

Operating as the technical lead on large scale customer projects and working alongside CloudM Project managers.


Leading complex technical migration projects for our enterprise clients, this person will be able to consult and advise customers on the functionality of the CloudM products; identify, design and document bespoke migration solutions that meet customer requirements; define migration approaches that meet best practice standards and customer needs; help identify and manage risks; plan and schedule their own work alongside customer & 3rd party teams.

Overtime is expected as part of this role at predefined hourly rates.


What you'll do:


  • Provide technical consultancy in line with CloudM best practice
  • Design, document and configure bespoke migration solutions that align to customer requirements
  • Configure CloudM Migration environments incorporating customer requirements in line with CloudMand Google best practice
  • Work alongside Project Managers to develop detailed project plans including detailed tasks, low level design documentation, statements of work, resourcing estimates and timescales
  • Attend meetings / calls with customers and partners and provide technical leadership
  • Work closely with customer teams to interpret high level requirements into detailed technical and nontechnical proposals / designs
  • Work alongside the Project Managers and other Deployment Specialists to ensure smooth delivery of technical and nontechnical aspects of projects
  • Identify known risks within a project and define technical solutions to meet the customer needs
  • Present proposals to customers alongside members of the sales team when necessary
  • Provide ongoing support for customers post implementation
  • Assist with transition of customers into Product support post project

Key Skills:


  • Experience with delivering large scale IT projects
  • Above all else, an keen, proactive approach to learning and delivering services to customers is the primary skill needed
  • Is a confident and proactive communicator, able to use terminology to suit the stakeholder's level of understanding
  • Is able to build and confidently deliver a presentation to senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of the principles involved in migration of mail and data from (any) environment, to the cloud
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work according to business and customer priorities
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work according to business and customer priorities
  • Can clearly communicate knowledge with colleagues or customers
  • Able to influence key stakeholders in their decision making
Is proactive in responding to stakeholder requests
Is a self starter and will begin work on deliverables without needing prompting
Can confidently facilitate a workshop in order to define stakeholder requirements
A detailed and deep knowledge of technical concepts to the extent that you are able to collaborate with technical specialists and take ownership of solutions


Desirable Skills:


  • Administration of Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace
  • Experience of Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace migrations
  • Scripting / API knowledge / experience
  • General knowledge of areas of business operations beyond IT
  • Experience of working in customer facing environments
  • Experience working in a consultative role

_In time, the CloudM engineers will gain the following skills, but initially, any of the following would be beneficial._

_Exposure to a range of platforms and O/S, covering but not limited to:_

  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft O365 administration
  • Google Gmail /Drive administration
  • Microsoft SharePoint Administration
  • Lotus Notes / Domino environments
  • Detailed, technical and practical knowledge of the CloudM products
