Salary - £21,881.60 pro rata, based on the full time equivalent of £27,352 per annumPart-time - 32 hours (4 days) per week. Please note that this role may become a full-time post.

Role Purpose:
The National Portrait Gallery has a growing and dynamic international programme, centred predominantly on sharing its exhibitions with partner museums around the world.
The International Programmes Assistant supports the International Team to deliver the Gallery's international projects including touring exhibitions and other initiatives.
The role involves administrative support for the team, assisting with transport tenders, estimates, logistics and the planning of installations and de-installations.
We are seeking an extremely organised individual with excellent time management and communication skills, who can work across projects and be part of a small team to meet regular strict deadlines.
You will need previous administration experience, experience of working within a museum, arts or heritage organisation or similar environment; strong IT and database skills, and have meticulous attention to detail.
Key Accountabilities:
- Exhibition preparation
- Cocoordinating conservation work and the movement of art works
- Managing exhibition lists
- Supporting transport tenders, logistics and planning of exhibition delivery
- Administrative support for the team
- The above list is indicative but not exhaustive. As such, in addition to the key accountabilities and responsibilities listed the post holder may be required to perform other duties commensurate with the scope and/or level of the role_
Key Experience, Skills and Criteria:
- Administration experience
- Museum, arts and culture or similar sector experience
- Strong IT and database skills
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
