The NPEU Clinical Trials Unit (NPEU CTU) are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Trial Administrator to join our team working on a newly funded clinical trial looking at the best way to care for premature babies.

The Clinical Trial Administrator will support the Trial Manager for the BASE trial; a new clinical trial spanning over 6 years which is also supported by a dedicated Research Nurse and administrative support.

This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team developing skills in trial management and to also contribute to wider development work of the Clinical Trials Unit.


The postholder will be based within the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) which contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.


The NPEU is an internationally recognised, multi-disciplinary research unit based within the NDPH at the University of Oxford, Old Road Campus in Headington, Oxford.

The unit undertakes research about pregnancy, childbirth and new-born babies.


As Clinical Trial Administrator, you will work closely with the Senior Trials Managers, Trial Manager and the Trial Programmers to assist with all aspects of trial management and project delivery.

To ensure the smooth running of the trial, you will liaise with all collaborating organisations and individuals, setting up new sites, obtaining regulatory approvals and ensuring the data systems are maintained to the highest level of integrity at all times.


To be considered for the Clinical Trial Administrator post, you will have experience of working in medical research, excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.

There will be opportunity for some hybrid office/remote working in line with department guidance.
