    Description

    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.

    We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

    The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm.

    This is a community post and the shift pattern is 9-5 Monday to Friday.

    The post is based in East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership and the team will provide a service across GGC.


    You will have a key role in contributing towards the delivery of health checks across GGC for adults with a learning disability.

    You will provide highly specialised clinical expertise, knowledge and skills in the promotion and maintenance of adults with learning disabilities.

    You will function as an autonomous practitioner in a dynamic 'joint future' service providing person centred health care.

    You will work in partnership with service users, carers, service providers and partner agencies and services promoting the principles of social inclusion.


    It is essential that you are currently a Registered Learning Disability Nurse with the NMC and that you have relevant professional experience with evidence of proven leadership skills with competent technical, specialist and professional knowledge within the field of learning disabilities.

    You should be able to evidence of post registration educational development.

    A current driving licence is essential for this position.
